Did you have an "OMG!!!" reaction when you first saw this picture? Yeah, me too. It's not that I'm opposed to tattoos or Gameboys, it's just that the combo of the two kinda scare me, especially when I see a stomach covered with a cheat code (hmmm) and a gaming device. Surprisingly, when I asked geeksugar readers if they would want to love or leave Geeky tattoos, a staggering fifty-six percent of you said you loved them, which leads me to believe that you may be open to getting a gamer tattoo as well. Maybe not like this one from tecnochica, but something smaller and more... shall I say 'tasteful'?

Alexander McQueen
Fossil
Giuseppe Zanotti
I do enjoy playing games, but I'm not hardcore enough a gamer to get a tattoo. If I'm going to get another one, it's going to be something really significant to my life like the others.
1That's too much. The idea of getting a tattoo scares me enough but if I were to get one for geekyness' sake it certainly wouldn't be that.. big and gaudy. Maybe a tiny tetris block or something.
2OK, so if you're calling yourself a geek, you should know what the Konami Code is -- it's a long standing cheat to a lot of the games way back in the day.
3That tat in the picture looks like its drawn on with Sharpies or something. I dont think its real.
4It really depends. I know some people who have gotten gaming tattoos, especially from the guilds that they served in. If it meant something really deep to me, then I'd probably get a gamer tattoo. But that would mean that I would have to really have had a bond with something that's inked on my body.
5This tattoo is quite horrible in my opinion, but to each his own. I'm sure there are people who don't like my tattoos.
6Definitely would not get that tattooed. Ever. And, to be nicer than Anamcara above - Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right A B Start was a cheat code.
Also, the chick's belly button has a mole under it, which makes it look like a question mark in the smaller picture under Top Stories, LOL. I thought that was part of her tattoo as well.
71.) That is not a real tattoo.
2.) No.
8The arrows are the most well-known video game cheat ever: To get 30 extra lives in Contra on the NES, you pressed up up down down left right left right a b select start. And you call yourselves geeks.
9no way never!
10I'm a huge gamer girl, but I'm not THAT in love with gaming, lol.
11I highly doubt I'd get a gamer tattoo, but I do agree with starofsorrow...some people get tattoos of their guilds, some of which have nice designs.
12Classic cheat or not that's still tacky, but whatever. Each to his own indeed.
13No way.
14Not for me, gaming changes so much I couldn't stick with one thing. This one's a old cheat code.
15Its Contra! Id consider a game tattoo if it was something I was into, but not a cheat code like that one haha!
16I thought the other geeky tattoos were clever (i.e. the one) but just doesn't look right. Plus clarient is right. It's not a real tattoo (at least I don't think it is....)
17You're dang skippy I would. A few I'd consider:
18Goomba
Triforce
Pac Man and a ghost
a Black Lotus
two lily pads, with a purple and a white frog (Frog Bog = best. game. ever.)
Bomberman
the Bubble Bobble characters
No freaking way would I ever. That chick is going to regret screwing up her stomach when she gets older.
19ewwwww gross..not a chance, ever...ever!!!!!!
20Wow. I doubt I'd get a gamer tat. Does the belly button make a question mark '?' ? lol
I agree, looks like sharpies.
21I hope, for her sake, that that's not an actual tattoo. Not because of the content, but the "artwork" is atrocious.
Anyway, no. No gamer tats.
My ex had a Captain America armband around his left arm. Regretted it. Went to 3 different shops and they all refused to do coverup work because it was almost impossible.
Love my video games, love my comics, but nah.
22Yeah I might....if I was going for a vintage-cheeky type thing. Like a little mushroom or something would be cute.
23i would get liek the apple logo jsut cause is cute or something. but i dont think i would ever get a gamer tattoo or even a ttattoo,. i stick to henna =)
24That's just plain goofiness! I love games but a tattoo? I wouldn't even get a regular tattoo because you wouldn't even know what the heck the tattoo is supposed to be when you get into the ripe golden years......
25Never!
26unless i am a hardcore gamer and i like body art on my own body
27i would totally get a gamer tattoo... i'd get one which was better quality than that one though and perhaps in a less visible place. i already have (1/3) a tattoo on my stomach but yeah - that one has too many colors. i'd maybe get a "happy mac" which is the little guy who used to pop up when you started your Mac. i miss that guy!
28haha ok its funny now but you know 10 years later she's goin 2 be screamin wtf did i do?!!
29its not even good artwork!! looks like its done w/ markers or paint
Other. Sure. "When hell freezes over" is an expression that comes to mind. I just fail to understand tattoos. "self-expression" in a form of "judge me by my attitude". Doesn't matter what the tattoo is, they just cheapen the look of anyone. Who could tell me that Angelina Jolie would not look more elegant and sophisticated minus the tattoos? I doubt anyone could.
30I don't think I'd ever get one, but if I did, it'd be small, like a Zelda triforce symbol or Yoshi's face and it wouldn't be anywhere that would show!
31Im mostly against tattoo's but if I did have to get one it would probably be something video game themed. Maybe a small toady or koopa troopa.
Actually saw a guy working the register at game stop the other day who was covered with gamer tats. I think it all depends on how good of a design it is and the artist themselves.
It looks like the chick is trying to hide a tummy tuck line with that placement.
32Dear god no are you insane?
33if i was ever to finally give in to get a tat (which won't happen in the near future) it definitely wouldn't look like that but i would consider something small, i'm for tats that mean something to the person not jus cuz i was drunk and wanted one...
34Hell to the naw.
35I don't think I would go that far.
36That is disgusting, no way!
37Why are the arrows like A DIFFERENT COLOR from each other?! I'm slightly annoyed =X
38Not exactly an aphrodisiac.
39I so would, I would get tetris blocks tattooed right on my hip.
40That is sad. It doesn't even look good. I would get Mario or Yoshi but that is not a good tattoo. Hope she loves it.
41I want the Hyrulan Crest on the back of my neck!
42I want some Kingdom Hearts-related tattoos. The Heartless crest, Axel's weapon, and the little crown thing with a heart in it.,...ugh.
43I'm not one for tattooing a cheat code across my belly, but I would love to have a Triforce tattoo somewhere, preferably on the back of my right hand.
44not only is it to much, it's just ugly and looked like some child painted on her stomach....what is that gonna look like when she is 60....ewwwwwwwwwww!
45Umm depends if I'm drunk when I decide to get one? Ha, I don't think I would get a gamer tat. Not up my alley.
46Wow its weird that I randomly bumped into this thread today, when I only just saw this picture today somewhere else on the web for first time ever, also!
When I first saw it I thought as many of you do, that its done with sharpies or something.
I think I'd get a gaming tattoo. Probably the Triforce.
47I wouldn't do it because I'm barely a video games, but I get really happy when I see tattoos like that! They are an instant flashback to my childhood. I'm a big fan of tattoos in general, so unique things like this are really fun to me. God knows what you'll think when you're 80, but if you're a hardcore gamer, rock it!
48Ew, no way!!
49That has to be the least sexy tattoo that I've ever seen and I'd pull my shirt way down if I were her. Forever.
50Can you imagine her at 50? No.
Would I get a gamer tattoo? Yes, I would if the tattoo artists was talented and the art was AMAZING. There are some really beautiful games that I've played and that I loved. Like Final Fantasy and Kingdom of Hearts.
Probably never will though.
I'd rather get an anime tattoo over a gamer tattoo though.
