Want to personalize your iPhone by switching up your application icons? Well Gizmodo announced some neat software called iFuntastic that allows you to choose new ringtones, switch your carrier logo and swap icons.
To get started go to iPhone alley and click "update iPhone" to update your icon settings (make sure its the 2.5 version). Click 'reset' to go back to the original settings.
This free service is currently only available for those who have Intel-based Macs.

I know that this long list looks scary, but trust me, once you get the hang of it, it'll be a snap the second time around.
- First of all, join the 'How To' Help - Guide To All Things Geeky
- Click "Create and Share!" on the left hand side
- Choose "Blog"
- Give your photo a Title
- Leave the category as "general"
- Change the channel to "technology and gadgets"
- Add keyword(s) (for example mine for this photo was "Geek tip")
- Click on the "Add Image" link below the "body" box
- A popup window will happen - click on "Browse" to find your image on your computer
- Once you have the image chosen, click "Submit"
- The popup will show you your image, choose size: "normal" - if you want, you can give it a title (which will show up as a caption)
- Click "Insert" and the popup will go away
- Your "body" box will now have some text in it. Leave it as is. If you want to add some text before the picture telling me why you think this person is geeky, do it before the code that has appeared.
- Click Submit

Be careful with this version.... since the last update on iPhone, it may cause more harm than good -- make sure you get the 2.5 version of iFuntastic
1i wish i had an iphone to play around with all these kewl tips you post ^^
2My husband used iFuntastic to allow him to use custom ringtones on his iPhone. It got really glitchy and he eventually did a restore. I think I will leave my iPhone a virgin for a bit longer. It works very well as.
3Thanks for the feedback! This is VERY good to know! I've let people know in the post to make sure they are downloading the latest 2.5 version.
4hmmm i'll think about this if i ever get an iphone.
