For all the iPhone hype the device may be falling behind the too-hot-to-trot Prada phone. Word is, the Prada phone by LG has sold over 300,000 units since its launch in March, while earlier this week AT&T announced it has only activated 146,000 iPhones. (Apple released its third quarter results yesterday, but that quarter ended three days after the iPhone release so there are no telling figures). Both phones feature touchscreen technology and have skated by on their sleek luxury cell phone status. The Prada phone costs about $550 - $650, while the iPhone is $499 for the 4 GB and $599 for the 8GB. Whether the Prada phone has outsold the iPhone or not, it's important to note the Prada phone is available outside the US, while the iPhone launched only in the US. Based on looks and all the reviews you've read, where would you put your money?

I would feel pretentious if I carried a Prada phone.
Iphone and Prada handbag.
iPhone hands down! I'm love the macintosh interface and it's sleek appearance. The Prada one looks so...black. Don't get me wrong. I think the Prada phone looks like a sophisicated phone, but I think the iPhone will appeal to more people.
that makes as much sense as a prada laptop
iPhone all the way (links up with computer, all it can do, and...as mentioned elsewhere, there's fashion vs. style!)
style will always beat fashion
the prada phone is sexier, but you can get sexiness AND functionality with the iPhone. i have to agree with partysugar on this one!
prada makes phones now?
iPhone!
The important thing to me is that the Prada phone is made by LG. LG is a brand that I trust and love, so I would go with the Prada phone (albeit a little more expensive).
i agree with Partysugar....
I think that prada is a little smaller and thats always nice
Also i don't trust apple. My ipod was dead in a little over a year.
I would go with the iPhone. The screen is bigger and brighter and the resolution is way better. The prada one looks cold without any color. Although beeing smaller is a pro
Helio Ocean. (
Obviously I am in love with my iPhone. I would be interested in seeing the features of the Prada phone. As far as the Helio goes I heard a commercial and it had great features... no Mac support though....
Umm, my Blackberry thanks.
i agree with bellasugar, plus i'm pretty brand-loyal.
The iPhone of course! What the heck even is a Prada phone anyway, lol?
iPhone is more beautiful than Prada phone, i think. select iphone, Aha.
i love the Prada phone, if you have the money to sepnd on it, buy it, believe me, it worth every cent, in a couple weeks i will buy it, i almost have the money
Wait till it comes to the rest of the world. Poor LGs plastic thing won't be even near to the selling numbers of iPhone. It is not fair to compare it because iPhone is available only in US, and US is not the market where mobile phones are so popular as in Europe and Japan... So just wait till iPhone becomes available worldwide, then compare
The Prada has a large 1,000-entry phone book with room in each entry for four numbers, an e-mail address, and a memo. You can save contacts to groups, assign them a photo for caller ID, and pair them with any of 10 available 40-chord polyphonic ringtones. The LG Prada also supports MP3 ringtones if you wish to add your own. Other essential features include a vibrate mode, text and multimedia messaging, an alarm clock, a calculator, a world clock, a unit converter, and a calendar. Those looking for additional functionality will like the voice recorder, e-mail support, Bluetooth 2.0 support, a speakerphone, and an FM radio tuner.
i think that the prada phone's features are comparable with that of the iphone, cept for the os. i think the iphone hype puts it on an unrealistic pedastal. just saying.. give the prada phone half a chance it aint that bad :S
I think the Prada phone might be a pretty good thing....even though it's more of a status symbol, it's more widely accessible for people who live outside of the US.
You can do way more stuff with the iPhone. Why buy a prada?
iPhone. hands down.
The prada phone has no color.
I seen the prada phone in comparions vids on you tube and i prefer my iphone... you got to use a stylus with there i would lose that thing in a week, and the screen is smaller too...
i had never even heard of the prada phone until now
The Prada phone is pretty but the iphone is gorgeous
I prefer PRADA for its look of simplicity but since it's unavailable in the U.S., I prefer the Samsung I have.
I have the PRADA and I am absolutely in LOVE with it!!! It's a great phone and very stylish. Love it!!
I'll wait til black berry comes out with something comprabale. ;-D
iphone
IPHONE YO.
Prada obviously copied the iPhone. Therefore, if the iPhone never existed, that Prada phone probably wouldn't exist, either. It exists to compete with the iPhone. If you get the Prada phone, you're getting it for the name.
Neither.
I could never have a Prada, rarther have a cheap free phone than a knockoff. It's the same way I could never own FUggs, I just survive without 'em if I get too broke and my old pair is broken.
And the iPhone.. well, it's cool, but I just really don't like apple that much.
Sticking to my Sidekick, thanks.
i would also like a iphone and prada hand bag!
Ummm, iPhone. Prada's too big of a name for me.
haven't had a chance to play with the Prada phone, so i can't make an accurate comparison...but i think i'd take the Prada over the iPhone just because of all the iPhone hype
don't get me wrong, i love apple products, but sometimes i just want something different ya know? Plus they'd match my sun glasses, lol
I'm sick of all the Iphone hype, but I'd still prefer it over rebelling with a prada phone. The prada phone is all pretentious and doesn't even have awesome functions like the apple gadget.
I have both and the Prada feels lighter and plastic-y not like the heavy, expensive feel of the iPhone... I prefer the iPhone but the Prada came in a pretty nice box
