Yelp is one of those apps that I think everyone should have on their iPhone. It's free, it's handy, and it saves you from having to do multiple searches in Google.
But did you know that version 3 of the Yelp app has a little something something that makes it that much more amazing?! To find this undiscovered gem, just shake your phone three times (probably best when you're out on the street) to turn on "the Monocle" for the augmented reality feature. Using your phone's GPS and compass (yes, you need an iPhone 3GS), you'll be able to see any nearby bars, restaurants or other businesses right on your screen . . . how fab is that?

I highly doubt it, since it doesn't have the compass, but does this feature work at all on the plain old 3g?
1Nomadik Kitty -- It totally works.. And yes, you need an iPhone 3GS with the compass feature for it to work.
2They weren't supposed to make it do that. They snuck that feature is as an "easter egg" against the rules. Not cool, yelp!
