Check out the latest techie project for parks: light benches! Covered with huge white light-filled bulbs, which I'm assuming are solar powered and super sturdy, these bright benches may be a vision of the future. Featured on pc news, illuminated benches hope to make public parks safer by reducing crime and suspicious activity. But then again, the attention these new glowing benches may attract could entice vandals given that fact that even basic wood benches are targets. What do you think? Would you like to see parks and public areas with light-up benches? Leave your comments below!

i like it good idea
cool
Sounds like a good idea!
amazing idea! by combining a light and a bench, lots of materials are saved. this is a useful AND ecofriendly idea!
Wouldn't the lights get hot?
D:
Wouldn't it get buggy?
ooh, this is tres spiffy!
I like them however I voted Leave it because unless there solar powered, it's a big energy waste. If there solar powered I say put those everywhere!
I think the comment made about solar power is an awesome idea and i completely agree. Besides looking really cool these could lead to even more lighting in public parks at night...a definite safety plus
Whats the point? Whatever happened to using plain old street lamps? I think the respective governments should insure that lighting and safety is assured at parks and public areas, but since they can't even manage that to a 100%, what makes you all think there'd be funding for these things? They're ugly too.
Leave it, I see it as odd, only place I'd see it working out would be in my zoo in the winter when they do lights at night.
Wouldn't they get really, really hot and attract millions of bugs.
a great idea for parks
i love it, but this should be its slogan:
makes your butt look big, and flourescent too!
interesting concept, but I don't know if they would truely make a dent in crime...
Nifty, as long as they don't burn your tush.
gotta have it in my back yard~
i dont like it too much ...would those lights get hot though ? and then you sit down ......
very creative
i wonder if it heats your tush too....
I love it, very cool!
I love it, it would be good for a bus stop, too.
I was just thinking.
If it gets warm itll be nice to sit on during the winter and homeless people would like to sleep on something warm?
three eye fish, i was thinking the same thing.Like, wouldn't the lights get hot and burn your butt. SCARY! but it is still kind of cool.
I think they would probably attract bugs, like some of the other commentators, and they should be solar powered to be useful. But with all the light pollution already out there, I'd like to see these used strategically, in places that need to be lit already. I'm thinking of bus stops, busy street corners, and in parts of college campus'.
It's a neat idea....but at the same time, wouldn't it be somewaht uncomfortable sitting on them?
leave it! it should hurt eyes at night, shouldn't be comfortable, attract bugs, and mosquitoes...
cool
but would it hurt to sit on them?
leave it. everybody can see my butt
Ooh, if you have a seat with your date, I say no way. Hello, think of about the lighting! Recall the flashlight under the chin trick. Scary.
On the other hand, its great for spooking bums away from sleeping on them.
