Japan’s Thanko has released a new webcam, which is essentially a one-way mirror that will allow you to stare at yourself all day. According to Technabob, the device has a hidden camera behind the mirror that lets you admire your own face while you chat with your friends online.
It's a novel idea, if you are totally obsessed with yourself. Rare Mono Shop is selling the device for ¥5,980 (about $49 USD.) Of course, you can always just download the The Balooba Mirror 2.0 widget for your Mac.

I never really got into the whole webcam chatting thing - I probably would if I had a Mac, but the prospect of setting up a webcam just so people can see me isn't very appealing. Text works just fine!

4Sad as this is, I want one, I always video chat with family on the other side of the country and afterwards find food or something stuck in my teeth...
5I don't think having one of these will make you vain . If you're a girl, you're bound to look at yourself in a mirror. Why not just set it up on your desk. No one will see you , its a "one way" vanity cam. I like it. If i had a desk, I would totally buy one and set it up !
