With websites like Remember The Milk and devices like the BlackBerry, it's almost hard not to stay organized. Technology provides us with a bajillion useful applications and tools to help keep us on track (gotta love Google apps), but do these modern day inventions waste our time?
Many people have become social networking site addicts, online gamers, and YouTube junkies. Just like infomercials that can suck you in at odd hours of the night, I find that cell phones, games and the internet can do just the same.
What are your thoughts? Has technology been a help or hindrance to your overall productivity?

Not really. I spend more time goofing off with technology than doing anything productive.
1diddo with mwmsjuly. However, technology is probably the most helpful thing in my life. If it weren't for internet, e-mail, and my ipod, I don't know how I'd survive!!!
2I think that people who are already organized are better organized and people who were not really organized are goofing off and everything in between. Technology doesn't make you more productive if you don't already have an organized and productive work habit.
3I believe that technology has helped my productivity, but Angry Pecky is right. It does help if you already have an organize and produtive work habit. Technology can't help you there.
4Not really, I really use my phone unless its family or friends and I use my computer for just surfing the web.
5Yes, by all means. I use the internet to look up information on a daily basis. I am constantly on the computer.
6I don't think this is a fair question - productive is so vague a term and can apply to a multitude of things.
I wouls say it's helped me be more organized. In terms of my job - well, my job is fixing technology, so I'm 100% more productive there. Word Processors and the internet help papers immensely.
However some of the things we are able to do might not necessarily be considered 'more productive' by people ten years ago.
7Pfff, it might if I could get of the Sugar sites.
8I used to write many things longhand on notebook paper, but using a laptop has allowed me to write so much more and keep track of so many documents all at once.
9Well, when I'm into a project, it definitely makes me more productive because of all the resources available. But it makes me feel like I *should* be more productive, so I find myself on the computer way too much - and not really doing much. It's like I've forgotten how to completely relax.
10well, I exercise more and longer when I have my ipod on.
11I agree that I spend more time goofing off then doing what I should be doing. But I think organization is overrated.
12i think that i waste time much more often, having different things to waste time using.
13not so much as I always lived with technology...As I can remember I always had a computer at home.
