William Blake once said he could look at the knot in a piece of wood until it frightened him. I only had to look at these oooms wooden memory sticks for a split second before I was profoundly frightened. Sure, I appreciate the idea - they were made to stand out against the natural environment of computers and offices and picked from the woods because of their natural beauty - but the notion of jamming a stick into my computer just makes me nervous. Not as nervous as forcing a hot dog in it, but nervous nonetheless.

According to the website, the line of unique and personal USB memory sticks were professionally handmade. They can be ordered in 256 MB, 512 MB, 1 GB and 2 GB editions and are compatible with Windows, Linux and Mac. The line ranges in cost from $54.50 to $109.

I agree, they are tacky. MAYBE if you make a matching wood computer and a matching wood house it could work?
1i liked them when i first saw them, but now i wonder, too about the whole stick in a computer thing. because of the branches these don't seem like they'd be that easy to stick in your pocket etc.
2... why?
3Fugly!
4What is the point? Ugly!
5odd little things aren't they
6wtf
7I don't think I would want a stick coming out of my computer.
8Hah hahahahahahhaah!
9I think it crazy funny.
got wood?
LOL oh man! really?
10well i for one think they're cute. hmph!
11caught my eye, but it's ugly!
12Eh, I don't like it.
13I won't be buying any.
14NO thank you!!
I have a classy 256m freebie from Cadillac - it's some nice looking schwag! Plus all my data goes on ftp or through email, so I only use it for work.
15There are definitely days I'd like to jam a stick into my computer.
16pricey, but cute! what will be next?!
17cool idea!!! don't want one but cute idea...
18I don't like this trend at all. I saw speakers made of wood the other day, and they were dice-shaped, but still, they're just ugly and not feminine at all.
19It's funny!
20I would get one. It is different and it would be easy to spot if misplaced or stolen in a computer lab or something.
