Designed by Meng Fandi, the Ring is a vibrating alarm made for people who don't like the loud blaring sounds of a typical alarm (isn't that everyone?). You set the Ring alarm set up via its charging cradle and fit the Ring over the tip of your finger. When it's your chosen time the Ring vibrates until it is put back on the dock.
While it's only a concept at this point, the idea seems faultless when it comes to couples waking up at different times and for those of us who have grown to hate the sound of our alarm clocks. I initially wondered whether the Ring would zap your partner in the night if you tried to cuddle, but apparently, the vibration is "discrete" so you won't feel like you're being electrocuted. It would also work well for hearing impaired persons.

That looks so cool. I'd love one of those!
Although honestly I'd be a bit afraid of not noticing - I would definitely have to test it out before relying on it exclusively.
1This has a touch of futuristic style and that is why I like it. But I don't like anything to wake me up but my inner Biorhythmic clock, which by now works perfectly
2I have 2 issues with this product. 1-if you toss and turn, wont it fall off easily frmo the tip of your finger, and 2-will it get stuck as your fingers sweel from lying down all night?
3Hmmm, sounds like fun!
I would be afraid that it would come off in the middle of the night.
4If this actually worked I wouldn't mind having one. I set the alarm on my cell phone to wake me up and it scares me every morning.
5haha, another thing...if you feel it constantly, you know, like a tight sleeve or something... you might take it off in your sleep! i had a night gown when i was younger (like 9)and it had a button up front, and i dreamt i was choking, and when i woke up i was wearing a different gown haha. i chagned while sleeping nad didn't know it haha
6Wow, that's actually very cool. I don't use any kind of alarm, I just wake up on time, but I'd have one of those. Pretty.
7That sounds fascinating, and they look great. I've got to get one once they are actually out.
Small sidebar: it's not discrete - it's discreet. (Sorry - pet peeve of mine...)
8Hmmm...interesting. It sure would be better than my hubby elbowing me when I don't get up fast enough to turn off my alarm. But I would worry about it falling off during the night.
9they should make these mandatory in college dorms!
10I would love to try this.
11oo i was just reading about this! i hate waking up to my alarm. unless i have it set to the really loud and annyoing beep, i just sleep through it. but if you touch me, i'm awake. i wonder if i would be less startled.
12I bookmarked this very clock yesterday!
13I've heard of vibrating bed alarm clocks for the hearing impaired but this seems to be a nice discrete alternative!
14that's FANTASTIC!! i hate the sound of my alarm...any idea how much this thing would cost?
15i would definetly not like this.
16i love my loud ragin alarm and i feel like the whole night i would be worried about getting electricued or it falling off.
That would so never wake me up...might make me have interesting dreams though, ha!
17Interesting. I'd give it a try.
18There are so many instances where I see products listed and there isn't any price associated with it or a clear place delineated where you can purchase!!
19I wouldn't wake up honestly.
20Great idea i'm a sound sleeper
21i woulld definetly want to ry it out..if it works on my sister then it'l work on everyone.
22oh man that's cool!
23i think this sounds amazing and if it ever does actually come about, i will definitely be a proud owner.
