It's not everyday that you find an easy solution to sleepless summer nights, but Kuchofuku, the makers of the air conditioned clothing line, have come up with a smart, simple recipe for a full night's sleep: An air conditioned mattress. For $399, you get a 5.3-pound portable "bed," which uses dual fans to pull air in and circulate it through the cushion beneath you. It rolls up so it's the ideal travel companion.

I like the 5.3 pound part. But I hate sleeping cold. If you're hot, why not turn up the AC? I just don't see that this has a real good use.
Whats with all the AC thing? I hate AC, it drys my skin and gives me headaches. Use a fan or dehumidifier.
What a great site - first time here.
I hate sleeping cold as well...I hate ACs, gives me headaches as well hehe
I wouldn't want it but my boyfriend would love it!
i'm always cold so this is not for me. haha
anything that will make me feel cooler.
I live on a tropical island but i absolutely hate warm weather so ... YESSSS
I'm not so sure I would use it alot but it's worth a try. I like to have the AC up,and the fan on high but I like to cuddle up in the blankets.
My husband who sweats like a fiend loves it and wants to know where to sign up. I on the other hand who shiver out the door! The only time I like to be cool is when I'm running
My butt is never so hot that I need it air conditioned
Would it get too cold? I might roll around the mattress too much and end up crushing it, no?
i hate ac too as the above commenter said, but i tend to get quite hot at night and sometimes a fan and all your windows open doesnt do much for me, even in winter.
The idea is nice. I get headaches when it's too hot (this week has been killing me!), so I'm thinking this would help with that?
perfect for the homeless, especially in those beaming hot days
Love it! I used to have a waterbed and would intentionally set the thermostat low to keep the bed cool! Now that I have a regular bed, I so totally miss it! Doesn't help that I've got those dreaded nightsweats ... peri-menopausal. =P
I want to sleep on it wonder how it would feel
I love it cold when I sleep. In the summer I will put my pillow cases in the freezer in a ziploc bag so they get nice and cold. This would be perfect for me
leave it, totally weird
If the room is already being air conditioned, why need a bed w/ AC???
That's so cool! I can't live without AC!! I love being cold.
I'll stick with My AC, but some people would love it!
I have to stop my fiance from finding out about this!
LOVE the idea ... sleep with the windows open, listening to the katydids and crickets. Sweltering summer heat and you're cool as a cucumber. Just add sour cream and dill. Mmmmm.
tacky
i want to win this contest!!!
love a bed like this. how many times i thought my SHEETS were cool but this would be amazing for me when i am going through menopause!
I think this is a really cool idea...I sleep with my fiance` and three Chihuahuas, so I'm super hot at night most of the time!
intersting idea..but wouldn't you wake up feeling stuffy. sleeping with a fan on usually makes you feel sick wouldnt this also.
If theres any spills on the sheets, will it dry up since theres cool air
I think it might not be that bad of an idea.........
I love this idea! I love sleeping freezing cold!
meh idk if that is good for your health?
I live in Los Angeles (where it never gets cold, even at night), and last night I still used two comforters, three throws, and an electric blanket. An air conditioned bed would make me need another ten pounds of blanket.
I live with my parents and my parents always say... we have AC but I don't want to use it too much, it costs too much. So, this is perfect! I live in the den which doesn't get great circulation and I even have a fan! :\ I really want this, lol.
This would be soooo nice to have. Its hot here in Cali all year long, especially in Aug/Sept.
I kind of like the idea, just having had a baby a few months ago, my hormones are still a bit out of whack! lol So it'd be nice to feel cool at night without freezing my poor babies!
i would like it, but if it's too cold i get sick... and i could just see laying on a cold bed for 6-7 hours a night being a MAJOR disaster.
