Google has just announced some new additions to Picasa web albums, which will give us more freedom to play around with our pictures. The first feature is called "Map My Photos" and lets you tag photos so that you can show people the exact location where you took your picture. Once you choose to share your album, all your tagged images will show up on a Google map just like the one shown here - a great way to show friends and family where you've been on trips etc! 
The second feature is called "Picasa for your mobile" and will let you flip through your latest photo albums from Picasa on your cell phone. Just click on "My favorites" and your images will automatically re-size to fit your mobile's screen!

Love the "Map my Photos" feature!! I am an avid user of Picasa, excited to use this!
1I use Picasa, have for several years. I like this map my photos feature! I really liked Picasa when I first started using it, and haven't been fond of some of the "upgrades", but this sounds like a really fun addition.
2it's a bit of a bummer that this wasn't put in sooner - my g/f just spent all her time setting up an account with flickr instead of picasa web (even though she uses picasa to manage her stuff) because of this exact feature. now she can't be bothered to change because it took hours for her to tag them all to the map!
