Gone are the days when I depended on hole-in-the-wall, pay-by-the-hour Internet cafés to give me my quick web browsing and email fix. But I know they still exist, and are especially popular amongst travelers across the globe (I like to think London and Australia have one on every city block). Did you know that there's a province in China that has actually banned Internet cafés? Thankfully I have a strong WiFi connection at home, a stellar wired connection at work, and with more hotels offering free Internet, I'm not dependent on these hidden-gem cafés anymore. What about you?

I do! When i go to Mexico, they are very economical there and a great way to keep in touch with family back home.
1I use them whenever I travel without a laptop. I sometimes use one near my cottage if I want to use high-speed internet.
2The last one I used was also in Mexico, about 5 or 6 years ago now!
3To be honest, I have never been to one. I've been interested in seeing one but I've never had the need to go.
4Not much anymore
5Yea...when I go to Mexico.
6Only when I travel. Though, I did use a computer at Kinkos when I needed to print some docs out on a business trip
7When I travel I use them. We just got back from the U.K. and made several stops at cafes.
It's funny how weird and different they all are. The one in Edinburgh was a nice cafe with a deli and computers. The one in Oxford was a convenience store with stairs down to a basement with computers. Good thing I was with my husband.
8I've only used them on all my travels to Europe. I was blogging last summer when I was in Italy, and it was fairly inexpensive for me to use one to keep up my blog and send e-mails to my family and friends
9I used them every weekend as a Peace Corps volunteer in Kenya!
10When I travel out of country to areas that don't have great wi-fi connections.
11I have only used a "cafe" I suppose, one time - when I absolutely had to send some time-sensitive information. I could only get paid access at a T-Mo Hotspot in a Starbucks cafe (does that even count)?
But I've never been to a *real* internet cafe, though.
12I've never used one in the US, but I use them all the time when I travel. In Asia especially (except for maybe Japan) a reliable Internet connection (wireless or wired) is difficult to find unless you're at a Western-style hotel. And even in Europe, buying Internet access for your laptop is generally more expensive than using a cafe.
13Only when traveling overseas. Sometimes a couple bucks for the week beats outrageous charges using the phone or my own computer.
14I've only used them while traveling either without my laptop or overseas because of the cost on Internet access.
15i travel abroad a lot so i use them often.
16Wow. LOL. Last time I used one was probably like 5 years ago! I used to obsessed with them O_O
17I used one in Spain last summer, but I really wish they'd make a comeback...me and my mom needed to book a hotel in NYC while we were running around trying to find one with a room avalible/find directions and we had no laptop!
Such a headache!
