Are you one of the ones dying for the next Android-powered cell phone? Well, the wait is over: T-Mobile and Google have has just announced their next Android handset, the T-Mobile myTouch 3G (myTouch), the highly anticipated followup to the T-Mobile G1, the first Android phone.
In addition to Google services and Android software, myTouch lets you customize your menus, wallpapers, and icons, plus there are plenty of cool themes and skins. And, of course, like the G1, you have access to the Android Market applications to choose from.
The myTouch will be available nationally in early August, and will open up for preorder for current T-Mobile customers starting July 8 for $199.99 with a two-year contract.
One down, 17 more to go.

That's much better looking than the last one. I think the name is odd. There are so many people that call the iPod Touch an iTouch, so myTouch sounds too much like that. It could just be me and the people I'm surrounded by though.
1I agree with macgirl about the appearance of the phone and the iTouch/myTouch similarities. No matter. I'm seriously excited for this phone already.
2SWEET! And I would recontract for 2 more years to get this phone! Though I want the wide selection that comes with the App store, I would happily use this.
Except if there's 17 more...I should wait until next May when my contract's up! Maybe by then the iPhone will be open-carrier.
