The BlackBerry Tour (9630) — not to be confused with the Onyx which celebs are toting around — made a very silent launch on two major US carriers today. Unlike the Pre, which is exclusive to Sprint, the BlackBerry Tour has been announced on both Verizon and Sprint networks. The Tour will be coming to Sprint by the end of the Summer and will cost $199.99 on a two-year contract (after a $50 rebate and a $100 mail-in rebate . . . what's with the rebates?!). Verizon details haven't been released just yet. Wondering what's so hot about this smartphone? Well it comes with a 3.2-megapixel camera with a flash and zoom (wish I could say the same for the iPhone), video recording, and an expandable memory slot that will support 32GB cards.

It also has the most highest resolution screen ever on blackberry, the keyboard from the Blackberry Bold (which people love), video recording capability, full HTML browser (first for Blackberry not including the Storm), and so much more.
Its a huge upgrade from the standard Blackberry.
1idk... I'm getting tired of the bb curve 8900, the bold, the storm, onyx, gemini, and tour all having the same hardware.
but I totally agree with you, geek. what's with the rebates?! that's why I'm not buying my pre from the sprint store. I don't have an extra $100 laying around! and I don't want to wait a month and a half to get them back. but, I see it from their point of view, in a business perspective.
2Usually, if you buy directly form Verizon's web sites...the rebates are instant and not mail in. Thats what I've done with my last two phones.
