After declaring white to be the in vogue color for gadgets, I may have to eat my words. After being crisp white for two years, the Wii is going to debut this Summer in black.
The bad news? It's not coming to the US quite yet — the new colors will first only be available in Japan. That's a bummer, but then, anticipating something is always half the fun.
Let's talk about the more important implications of these colors: It's black, baby! I've just gotten used to lightening up my media center, and now we're heading back to deep, mysterious noir? I'm not saying I can't get behind it, it's just an adjustment.
So tell me, when it comes to gadgets — particularly this new Wii — do you prefer them to be in clean, Apple-esque white, or sleek, chic black?

The blue light looks better against the black.
1The white wii seems more modern and cooler to me but it's a matter of opinion I suppose.
I have the white wii and it's a sore thumb among my other electronics, so I suppose the black wii is better for the sake of fitting in and not looking extremely out of place.
2All of our electronics are white, except for the PS3. I tend to love white more.

10I don't like white on any of my consoles. I am dying to get an elite Xbox 360. I can't stand the white. It just is too, I don't know. I think the black looks so much more sleek and clean. And, I always get a lot of dust, even though I clean it nearly everyday. The black would conceal it. I think personally it just looks better. Why do you think my laptop is black?
