Sure, I did this poll last year, but it's gotta be done again: if (ahem, when) the next generation of the iPhone is announced at WWDC next Monday (which I'll be attending and reporting from live), will you be one of the many in line for it?
Rumored among the third-generation iPhone's features are an updated camera (more megapixels, autofocus), a builtin compass, and a 32GB hard drive. Confirmed earlier this year is its new OS (providing the long-awaited copy/paste functionality). That will come to all current iPhones anyway, but it's still an asset to the new handset, which is sure to be a hot little number and the must-have gadget of the Summer.
So tell me: Are you going to buy what ever new iPhone is announced? And do tell in the comments — will you be a first-time buyer or will you be upgrading your current iPhone?

I definitely am! It's time for a new phone and I love Apple's products. I would probably get the Pre if I was on Sprint, but since I have ATT it's the iPhone for me. I won't be waiting in line but I will get my hands on one eventually haha
1I can't wait! I skipped 3G and still have my first gen iPhone. I'm so excited to see what changed will be coming.
2I've avoided the iPhone all this time...but I think it's finally time to get it. The new features sound like awesome additions
3I just wish I could get it without AT&T
4my blackberry pearl is on its last legs and i have been holding out for this for SO long. i seriously can't wait. i'll be there in line day one.
5I lost my 3G and will hold out for the new one. It's torture without it!
6I got the 3G, I don't think the change is enough, to merit me buying it at full price. I will wait till the 4G comes out next summer.
7Not until they offer it on another carrier besides AT&T.
Looks it will be a Palm Pre for
me
8I have the 3G and love it! and overall the third generation doesn't have enough changes for me want to buy it. I cannot WAIT for the new OS though.
9i want the cool new gadget and the upgrade in storage and features seems worth it but it's not fiscally or environmentally sound to make the upgrade. my iphone 3g works just fine and if they give me picture sms and copy past and landscape texting i'm a happy camper. when my contract is up it's a different story!
10If it's still coming with AT&T attached, then sadly it's going to be a serious HECK NO.
Hopefully Apple will finally stop this nonsense and open the iPhone to other carriers in 2011 when the AT&T contract's up. It's just ridiculous that it's gone on THIS long!
11If I had AT&T or if it comes to VZW I'll get one as soon as I have the money saved up! Hopefully the new way isn't super amazing and makes me make what I can't have even more!
12No because I just ordered the 3G iPhone last night! I couldn't wait, but needed to save $ w/ the refurbished. I also figure the new OS (w/ copy/paste yay) will be plenty enough for me. I've been dying without the iPhone since the ad w/ the level App.
13I decided a while ago to purchase the iPhone, but I figured I would save money (and regret) by waiting for the updated version.
14It doesn't sound like enough has changed to justify a contractless purchase, since I already have a 3G. The 32GB storage would certainly be welcome though.
For now, I'll be looking forward to the iPhone's fourth iteration next year...unless some other device takes my breath away by then.
15nope. it's still on at&t and I love sprint so it's palm pre for me!
16I'll be getting a new one, but for the most part if you have the 3G version you can probably skip this one. The software update alone will be so huge.
17Wish there was an option for a "Maybe". I'm not 100% sure if I will buy a iphone or stick with my crackberry when it's time to upgrade next summer.
I am definitely eyeing some of the new Blackberries that are coming out, including one that's got a better MP3 playback function.
18absolutley! i can't wait!
19i have the 3G but if a new one comes out, i'll get it too! i wanna have all the iPhones
20I've had an old (gifted) Pearl since last October (first smartphone, dying now). I've been holding out for the new iPhone since then. I'm SOOOO excited for the new one! It can't come out fast enough for me.
21I am so excited! I have had the first gen and the 3g. I can't wait for the new one
22my iphone is only a few months old so even though i'd love to i won't but bring on the software update!
23I have the 3G and I don't think the changes are worth the extra cash I have to shell out. I can't wait for the new OS tho!
24the "old me" would have probably jumped on this but the "new jobless" me will not. In fact, I'm not going to use my old iphone as a phone anymore b/c I can't afford a data plan and am tired of being addicted to it. So, it's back to basics for me. (for now, lol!!)
25My T-mobile contract is up next month and I am so excited! I hate T-Mobile and AT&T is great in my area and I have been drooling over the iPhone for months now. I'm ready to put my Blackberry Curve on the back burner!
26I really would love the new IPhone. But does anyone know if I can use one without having AT & T, I live in rural MN, and we do not have access to AT & T, my brother has IPhone and it works at our house. Any ideas or suggestions.
27Of COURSE I want it but will Rogers allow me to upgrade to a new phone after 1 year? Very doubtful.
28I've only had my iPhone 3G for about 2 months, so I'm obviously not going to get this one.
Maybe next summer, or if it is actually going to be available on Verizon, I'll wait out my contract and switch back to Verizon.
iPhone was worth the switch, but if I had the option, VZW all the way.
29I was about to buy the second gen iphone for the first time until i saw the rumors about a new one coming out at the WWDC. Even if it doesn't come out at the wwdc i will wait for the next gen to buy
30i got my 3G in February, so maybe, maybe not. I'll probably wait until next summer unless there's some magical feature no one's ever heard of before.
31The initiative taken for the concern is very serious and needs an attention of everyone. This is the concern which exists in the society and needs to be eliminated from the society as soon as possible.
