I can't say I get a ton of email in other languages, but if you have friends in exotic places or you're trying to learn Mandarin and you need some help translating emails, Gmail has just added a Message Translation lab to their ever growing Gmail labs list.
Once the lab is enabled under settings, whenever you receive an email in another language than your own, Gmail will help to translate it. A header will show up at the top of the email that will say "Translate message to: ______" and you can pick whichever language you want.

The spanish sounds really awkward.
1That’s a good thing to do, yet the main problem I and my friends have with Gmail is that we can’t use it much at all, the reason being there’s no facility to create folders is there or have I missed something?
So it’s pretty useless, as having everything on one page would take you near enough forever to locate it in a busy e-mail box.

3There is a way to have "folders" in Gmail it's under Labels. You can label your emails and even automatically apply a label to a friend or group to "file" incoming emails automatically. Even if you clear the message from your inbox by archiving it, the email will remain in the label which is a line item on the left side of your inbox (looks just like folders).
