The New York Times reported that Blockbuster will be lowering its prices to compete with ever-so-popular Netflix. Supposedly they will be offering three movie rentals at a time for $16.99 a month, whereas Netflix charges $17.99 for the same thing. Hmm, I think I'll pay the extra buck and stick with my easy-to-use and reliable Netflix because last time I tried the Blockbuster program I received scratched movies. I know everyone isn't a Netflix addict, so let me know what you use below and if you'd consider switching.

On Demand or I purchase. No late fee hassle with either of those options!
There is no Blockbuster close to my house, so both options are basically the same to me, and I am already on board with Netflix.
I used to rent in-store with blockbuster, but then they closed the location in my town. I don't rent enough to pay $17 a month so I guess I'll have to stick with purchasing movies.
None
We've always done Blockbuster Online, and then bring them to the store to swap out for new ones. I didnt realize the price difference... I think Blockbuster Online is great because youre not limited to your choices, you can get crazy anime and great foreign films you cant get in the stores.
OnDemand, although I'm thinking about Netflix cuz OnDemand doesn't have everything.
I love how Netflix has even the most obscure films. Blockbuster only stocks mainstream stuff--mostly slop from the big studios.
Controlledspin,I'm in your sitch too! I think Netflix is shutting some of the Blockbusters down. I've still got a Hollywood Video, though.
Netflix - they have a better selection, more variety.
I'm on a month long free trial of Netflix. I love it, but I feel better going to my local video store, not a chain or an online one.
I held off on Netflix for a long time because I'm a big DVD buyer and I was afraid I'd stop buying if I could just get it from Netflix. Finally I came around though and I wouldn't trade my Netflix in for anything. I love their selection and how easy they are to use- I'm too loyal to switch for a few extra bucks. My Netflix has never steered me wrong
I just wish they did vdeo games
I totally do Netflix and it is awesome. I live close to a distribution center so the day after i mailed my DVD they are already sending one bck, so i could conceivably get a new dvd every two days. totally worth it.
Netflix! don't even bother with Blockbuster. #1 reason is that they censor and create RATED versions of movies and try to pass them off. Why mess around to find out that your newest John Waters rental is the "neuter" version!(if they even carry it at all) #2 Yes, almost always their movies are scratched. Blockbuster should go under, they've stuck all of us with horrible LATE FEES! and now its too late to start "competing" this is evolution at its best!
I started out using Blockbuster, which I loved. Then I won a year subscription to Netflix so I cancelled BB b/c I don't have time to watch that many movies so didn't need two subs. Netflix is good but I personally prefer Blockbuster. They both ship pretty quick except Netflix doesn't mail out on Saturdays (only Mon-Fri -check their FAQ)...so that's a day I could be getting another movie! My Netflix expires in about a month, I am probably going to go back to BB.
I rent and watch them online from Movielink. Instant gratification.
i get movies from the library or just rent them down the street.
Blockbuster as I like the option to take my mail in ones into the store and trade them for a free rental. They don't do late fees on the ones you get from the store.
I use blockbuster online. We've had it for a while now and it seems to be working out...
I love Netflix. It's just so wonderful ;] no late fees too
Netflix was ahead of Blockbuster on this one.
lovefilm.com ....UK
Netflix! I love Netflix. No late fees, different options that you can go with as far as renting movies, and they've got good service!!!!
there's got to be somethign like this in my country!
Blockbuster. It's nice having the store option. Plus, they mail it in for you and your next movie is already on the way while you watch the one from the store.
