I wouldn't call myself a Trekkie, but the new Mr. Spock is hot and it's hard not to get sucked in to the current Star Trek mania surrounding the film. Taking top spot at the box office, the Star Trek movie surpassed my expectations. Were you one of the millions that saw it?

I believe I speak on the behalf of most Trekkies when I say the movie is not what we expected. You cannot expect a SW fan to make a relevant Star Trek movie, to respect Star Trek history or to give at least some Trek atmosphere . I am sure everyone else will like the movie, everyone but Trekkies.
I was going to say something about that unforgivable corny kissing scene between .... and .... but, I guess that would be too much of a spoiler for people who did not see it!
1I thought it was really good. And I'm a Trek fan from way back. I suspended my "thought" of what a ST movie should be, and I got an entertaining, action filled movie. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of it of course.. but remember.. it's not real. We are not actually re-writing history here..
2And I'm major crushin' on Spock.
I thought it was a great movie! And, for the record, I'm a Star Wars girl.
3of course i was there. it was an awesome space opera. the drama, the danger, the intrigue, the music and of course the action were just what the doctor ordered.
