A Brief History of Twitter
Hello Election, Hello Twitter
When Barack Obama and John McCain went out on the campaign trail, they kept their fan base fully informed via their Twitter pages. Twitter realized that people wanted to be kept abreast of all election news so they launched an election Twitter site called Election2008 shortly thereafter.
With this site, Twitter users could leave their opinion on political issues and talk about hot topics surrounding the campaign.
