We've all got them lurking around our desks at home and work: old, unused mouse pads. They're flat and not taking up too much space, but they've got a second life in them, easily!
My super quick geek tip is also green: turn your old mouse pads into coasters with five minutes, a pair of scissors, and a pencil.
Just take your mouse pad and mark pencil lines so you know where to cut. Use a ruler or a straight edge for neat edges. Then, simply cut along your lines, and ta-da! Instant coasters ready for the party. You can get creative too with different shape cutouts or adding designs to each coaster.

Hehe, I have the same exact mouse pad!
1lol I'm not sure I'd want puppies as a coaster but this is a good idea.

4Great idea! I want the bottle. What is it where can I get one?
5Elfyn, it's a Sigg and you can get them at lots of places — start with their website!
6Thanks Geek! I thought it was a Sigg.
