Seven Essentials For Your Home Office
It doesn't take me long to get ready in the morning, but I can totally see the appeal of working from home — roll out of bed, make your coffee, and fire up the laptop to get your day started. And although the idea of telecommuting has been around since the 80's (I know, like forever), the current state of affairs is making working from home more attractive to businesses and employees alike. Not only does it cut down on operation costs, but telecommuting has been proven to raise morale. So if your boss has allowed you to sever your office apron strings, you're going to need a functional home office. Here are seven things I'd want in mine.

I wouldn't call these essentials! Or else, working from home one day a week is so expensive it wouldn't be worth it.
Maybe, 7 really-nice-but totally-out-of-my-price-range-things for a home office.
1SO, a desk, a chair, a computer, a phone, an organizer, a lamp, and an external hd.
the only non-obvious one here is the external hd. i can get behind that! If you don't plan on moving it much, it is cheaper to buy an internal hard-drive and then an external enclosure. Simply stick the hard drive in the enclosure (you only have to connect two little things) and then you have your very own external hd without forking over the extra cost.
2Not sure about everyone else, but when I work from home, I log in remotely to my desktop and all of the files are saved on the drive on the server.
I guess if you're working from home mainly then you would need a hard drive.
3Can I also suggest a copy of LoJack for Laptops? Works on Macs and it would totally suck if your home computer got stolen. I know...
4I use all of those with the exception of the charger stand. I've been thinking about getting one of those though.
