Maybe you've thought about how great it would be to have the world at your nuptials, a la Trista and Ryan, or maybe you've seen how outrageously expensive it is to plan a big wedding these days. Well, what if someone paid for your whole wedding? Of course there's a catch. It would be broadcast on MySpace.
Yep, MySpace has teamed up with The Knot to bring you "Married on MySpace" — an online reality show slash contest that first pits eager, engaged couples against each other, and once chosen, the fun really begins — the MySpace audience picks every single detail, from the gown to the registry (the other catch).

Is this just the beginning of your social network planning your life events (what's next, Facebook plans a funeral?)? All kidding aside, I know a great many people who would gladly trade privacy and choice for the chance to have a blowout wedding — but I don't think I'm one of them. Are you?

I'm not to sure because I don't trust myspace but the knot actually have nice ideas. I have A LOT of random friends on myspace so I'm leery.
1No way. I gave up on MySpace a long time ago, so I sure as heck wouldn't trust them to plan my wedding.
Besides, just what we need. Another reality 'show'.
2I'm only saying no because I wouldn't want to have a big wedding anyway.
If I DID want a big wedding, and could get it free? Pffft, why not?
3
Sorry. No way, no how.
4Not only would I never let someone else pick the details of my wedding, but people from myspace? no way no how!
5I don't think so
6Though, since I have lots of metal bands as "friends" on there, maybe they will help me plan an epic heavy metal wedding. Actually that doesn't sound like such a bad idea anymore lol.
Nope, like others, I stopped using myspace ages ago. I'd maybe have my wedding on TV but never myspace.
7Our wedding was very personal for us. And honestly I couldn't imagine anyone else planning our day just to get it for free. We did it for around $8000. That's not too bad and if you don't charge everything on credit and pay cash you don't have to keep paying for it afterwords.
8Hell no! Why do people want to be on TV so badly, let alone broadcast such a personal day to the entire world?
9I might not mind someone broadcasting my actual wedding and paying for it, but I would not want the camera in my face while I'm trying to plan! I'm getting married this July, and I have enough stress to deal with already! I couldn't deal with a camera trying to make me look like a bridezilla!
Plus, I would NEVER give up control over my wedding. My MySpace friends are mostly my real-life friends, but this is my wedding not theirs. I want my wedding my way!
10A friend of mine met her husband through MySpace!
11Honestly i mean why the f*ck not??lol!! i mean it sounds fun to me and oh no u don't want people seeing something so personal?please my ass!!get over yourself b*tches..you cant keep everything private!
12I'd much rather go to the city hall in a cheap h&m dress and have it mean the world to me, than have other people pay a fortune for me so it turns out how they want it.
13Probably not.
14yes i would. in fact, i would love to know how to do it actually, what all do to so i can maybe be a person who can
15when i first saw this i thought it was perfect for us because my boyfriend and i met on MySpace. later i realized that it was not a contest for who met and married because of MySpace, rather it is a contest to just have your wedding publicized. either way i would do it because of the circumstances under which we were brought together!
