Pure Digital made big news last week when it was bought by Cisco for $590 million, which is a sign that its products, the Flip video cameras, are as valuable to the world as they are to me.
I credit the Flip with getting a lot of people to take short personal videos (celebs seem to love them). You no longer have to commit to a big, expensive camcorder; you can whip out your cell phone, your digital camera, or your Flip.
Of course, this footage is generally for fun, capturing little, funny moments, rather than having viable footage for film projects. Whether you're just taking video for fun or YouTube, do you take personal videos?

i don't but if i had a flip mini then i think that i would.
1I take them on my digital camera, mostly when we're on vacation or holidays but sometimes I take them just randomly. It's nice to have those memories in some other form rather than just photos! I wish I had a Flip though!

3I take them on my little Canon. I would love to have a flip but that's not at the top of the list of gadget must haves for the moment.

6no, not really. I have probably taken a total of 5 videos on my cell. I don't have a flip though but I doubt I would use it much even if I did.
7I don't know, trying to understand cameras was confusing enough. I spent the weekend trying to buy a camcorder for a couple of upcoming events I want video from, but was split between the new Flip that has HD and a slightly cheaper lower resolution camcorder that can record for longer and has more options for lighting and such, but a lower resolution. The second one was pretty small too, like the Flip. Overall the whole market is really confusing to me and I think if Flip wasn't dominating the market in easy video-making, then more people would probably invest in one of these gadgets!
8i use my orange flip mino (just like the one above) to take videos of random things and fun times with friends and family.
9i dont jave a camara, but im thinking to buy a flip ultra in pink ^^
