So last time I did a number count, only fifty-three percent of you were Tweeting on Twitter. Granted that was last May, when Twitter was barely used in conversation or mentioned in households like it is today. In just one year, Twitter has grown from having 475,000 unique visitors to seven million, making it one of the fastest growing sites on the Internet.
What I'd like to know is if you've jumped on the Twitter bandwagon and what you like and don't like about it. And here's a short video which you've probably seen on the site before, I just can't get enough of it!

not anymore, I don't see the point of it.
1I actually signed up as a gesture to my husband. He was telling me how Demi Moore tweets as MrsKutcher even though she didn't take Ashton's name. I didn't take my husband's name either. I signed up as Mrs(hubby's last name) and he is a serious geek because he almost got all weepy about what I did. It is a big deal to him.
I don't really see the point of Twitter except as a medium if you are doing an action to publicize a project. So I don't know how much I will do with it except for promotion of some things I am involved with.
2Nope..
3I'm a new convert, because I've finally found a use for it.
4(Still learning the fine points, though.)
It's absolutely great for tracking breaking news, depending on who you follow.
(That's the big caveat!)
I follow bloggers, news people and politicians. I keep it up in the background at work all day, and check it from my Sidekick when I have down time, like waiting to pick up a kid from an activity.
I heard about it a year or two ago, and didn't really see the point. Then a few friends encouraged me to join, so I caved. I mostly follow my "actual" friends and personal finance bloggers, as well as npr.
5Totally doing the Twitter thing. I'm just starting to find all the people I want to follow, though.
6I have twatted.

8I started using Twitter once Facebook changed its design. I like it so far.
9Ingrid Michaelson wrote a song about twitter.

its adorable.
yes
11No, I'm not that interesting and I'm not that interested in what other people have to tweet.
12All of Lisa's work is horrible.
She's just a failed actor looking for attention on YouTube.
13i tried twittering.i just don't get the hype.like facebook,i just don't see why everyone is crazy about it.
14Had one since last Sept. and noticed that its gained massive amounts of popularity this Feb... People are addicted though, in an annoying way. Like ashton kutcher who will tweet 35 times in one hour... hahha
15But its a nice way to see what companies/celebs are doing and to drop a line to update ur friends/family on what your doing, in just 140 characters!
im not a twitter. i only just recently signed up for fb and that was just to please a friend.
16Meh. I can see why people use it (like for work related things), but I really don't find it all that useful for my lifestyle.
17Nope, I still don't really get the point.
18I twitter all the time and love seeing what other people tweet. I'm trying to get all my friends on it, though it is proving to be a bit of a chore. I even have my facebook automatically updated with my twitter posts, as most friends are facebook fiends.
19i use it because I find it as a fantastic news resource. There are a ton of designers on there, so instead of going to different design sites to read articles and get my news; i can just follow about 6 web designers, 2 web developers, and 3 big names in the web industry and get all the news and info and even help and assistance i need all in one page!
20I joined but I never use it, I think it is so lame.
21I jumped on the twitter bandwagon recently and I've enjoyed it thus far. I like that it somewhat takes away the need to fiddle with mass text messages, though not enough of my friends are using it to entirely take away that need. Also, I can be a little more casual about things whereas I am more cautious about what I text.
The one thing I'm hoping for in the future is the ability to have some sort of filtering because I've had to remove people that send out too many tweets in a day just because they get on my nerves.
22Nope, I don't twitter. I don't have the time and I am not connected 24/7 to my mobile or the web - so it would be an extra effort to twitter. I have too many other things to do and that I want to do than do mini-updates all day long.
But I wonder about the "7 million users"... in the article. Some people I know have twitter names (and I assume this show up in the total user numbers) for their kids (which they mention in their own twitters, but cannot twitter on their own as they're only infants), pets... etc. So that number is probably skewed a bit.
23I'm new to Twitter, and I am enjoying it thus far. BTW, I love Ingrid Michaelson's Twitter song.
