Beyonce is already a well-known singer, dancer, and actress, but can we add gamer to the list? Well, since she has just been tapped to star in a Nintendo DSi commercial for the latest game to hit the console, Rhythm Heaven (which is due to hit shelves April 5), I would say the answer is yes! Not only is the game totally appropriate for the music queen, but according to an interview in Entertainment Weekly, she's an avid gamer even when away from the cameras:
On why she loves playing Rhythm Heaven: I have been having a great time. I've been rehearsing for my [upcoming] tour in stilettos and uncomfortable corsets, learning all these arrangements. Today I was playing the game with my socks on, on the couch, and it was very relaxing!

On her favorite games: I like all the Wii games. Love Guitar Hero. This reminds me a little bit of a portable Guitar Hero, which is great, because I don't want to carry around a big guitar! Growing up, I liked Tetris. I even like BrickBreaker on the BlackBerry.
What she's better at: Guitar Hero, or playing the real thing: Guitar Hero! At one point I was learning to play guitar, maybe 10 years ago. I wrote "Dangerously in Love" on the guitar. I'm very upset with myself for stopping.

i'm with @floppyfish1986, she probably doesn't even own a ds and i doubt she's truly one of us. she's not even looking at the screen in the promo shot. this is nothing like the commercials with america, carrie and liv who actually play and talk trash while they play like real gamers!
3This is hilarious, I find it just as hilarious as all of the women that you see posed naked except for game consoles and controllers, and these women who are suppossed to be avid gamers to try and turn men on or to try and sell products, personallyl I think its a load of crap cause i dont think that video games are really a big factor in beyonces life, I like all the wii games, yeah cause i can just see her playing madworld now. There are real girls who play video games, but for some reason i hate when the concept of a girl playing video games, or a famous person doing it is exploited for sales or whatnot. it just annoys me because i am an avid gamer and video games seem to be EVERY WHERE lately and the more general public they are pushed on the better more complicated games get pushed aside and the more low key ones are pushed on society because everyone and their dog decides they need to be a

that's like saying that playing BrainAge and wii golf makes my mom a gamer. or all the old people in nursing home using wii fit.
