Remember our Geek of the Week Ryan Johns, who managed to fit his entire iPod into a vintage Gameboy case? Well, Etsey user cavco must have been inspired, or at least running on the same frequency when he created his Vintage Gameboy iPod case, which allows you all the joy of putting your iPod in a Gameboy without it having to be there permanently.
"It controls the iPod through the buttons on the front of the Gameboy while keeping the iPod safe inside," says cavco. "The front buttons are wired into a remote control so you can change the song and the volume with the case screwed closed."
The case only costs $30, which is to par with most regular iPod cases, but far more geek chic. Would you buy it?

Seems like a waste of a perfectly good Gameboy. I don't know what I was thinking when I gave mine (looked just like that- huge!) to my nephew. It had the black carrying case and a ton of games, too.
1I still have my Gameboy and it still works! Why would I want to use it this why and why buy one???
2you can play the old games on the DS i believe, so if you have one, and the other is just sitting there...
3no. i use my ipod b/c it's small and easy to transport. do you know how heavy that stupid gameboy is?!
4oh the memories, i just thought of my very first game-boy, it was huge, then i remember i got a red one, it probably is around the house somewhere, i´ll look it up to see if its still works. Oh ad yeah i wouldn't buy that for the ipod, i don't see the point in hiding my ipod inside that
5lol that's pretty cool. I would want to still play mine if I had one still.
6its so old school, but a little too bulky. i bought the iPod cause its small. still, really cute though
7hmm. yeah, a little too bulky i think...but maybe it'd be cool if you had it sitting somewhere plugged into a stereo rather than toting it around.
8I'm still holding out for the original Nintendo ipod case:
