Who knows when the next installment of the Batman film series will come out? You'll be inclined to not care (as much) after seeing this trailer for new video game Batman: Arkham Asylum, where Batman looks like the villain in the realm of criminals.
Voicing Joker is Mark Hamill (that's Luke to you, geeks), giving a different feel from Heath Ledger's portrayal — but it's nearly as chilling.

I'm excited for this game. Although I don't own a 'next-gen' gaming console that it is going to be released on (I have a Wii.), I'm sure when I get the PC version it'll be just as good.
1That does look fun! I'm generally more of a casual gamer, but I may have to try this when it comes to PC. Mark Hamill voiced the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series, which I was obsessed with when I was a kid. Since then he's voiced him in most of the other Batman cartoons that have come out. *squee*
2this is cool
3Im a huge fan of the book and this doesnt have that extra ceeptastic element but Im sure it'll be good for what it is. Looks like a renter for me
4I believe that for this game, the choice of casting Mark Hamil for the Joker was a fantastic idea. The way his voice played out in the cartoons gave the Joker a truly lovable feel, from his childish tones, or even his angrier tones, and of course his fantastic laugh. Yet, for this game, it seems that Hamil has been away from his Joker role a bit too long, or possibly he is just aging and does not have the handle on the voice that he once had. When listening to him in this trailer, it sounds more...Hamil-y and less...Joker-y (if you catch my drift). To see what I mean, watch an old BTAS episode with the Joker in it and compare it to the trailer. Also, his laugh seems different and the way he screamed during the original trailer truly felt like there was just an angry Hamil there, not a Joker. The Joker had a completely different tone and method of yelling and displaying anger. It makes me a bit disappointed, but maybe it's just because it's the first trailer, I can only hope that Hamil got more into his Joker role throughout the game.
