Tell me you've been here: you decide one weekend to rearrange your living room, so you gather your boyfriend for muscle power, and begin to move every piece of furniture to the spots you had planned in your head. Only to find they don't fit, or you totally hate the placement. Frustration ensues.
Instead of jumping the gun, plan out your arrangement on FloorPlanner first. See your room arrangements in 2-D and 3-D by dragging and dropping your furniture where you want it. Plus, if you're a design nut, you can add your floor plan to your blog and share it with your readers. It's totally easy to use, plus signing up won't cost you a dime.

This looks cool. Growing up, my dad would always use Corel Draw and measure all our furniture, scale it down and recreate the floor plan of where we were going to move. Then the family would gather round the pc deciding where the furniture would go in our new place. That took waaaay to much patients than I have now so something like this would be nice.
1Great idea. A friend of mine just bought her own place and I sent this to her.

3i always draw mine out on paper with accurate measurements. been doing it since i was a kid. this would make it easier i guess but i like my sketches. i think i'll stay old school on that one.
4I usually just sketch the plan out on a napkin, then measure the items being moved, to make sure my plan will work.
