Okay, I'll admit it, I got sucked into a late night screening of Meet The Parents the other night and have since been thinking about ways crafty in-laws (or yours truly) can snoop on unsuspecting guests. (I know, I'm paranoid, but sometimes I think I have very good reasons!) If you want to turn the tables on your house guests or just keep any eye on your baby, the Baby Cam Built Into a Cuddly Teddy Bear seems to be the undercover, 21st century way to do it. And, there's that whole added bonus of feeling like you have Robert De Niro's blessing to do so.
The TeddyCam has a camera built into his nose, so it can blend into any room. It also features a built-in 2.4GHz transmitter that sends video signals to the receiver you connect to your TV. Because of the device's cute disguise and actual function I figured it would be pretty expensive, but it turns out it's only $54.
One of my father's clients had one of these in has one of these in his office. Its inside of a benie baby. He got it when somebody from the office was logging onto his computer and messing it up. It worked great and he still has it in there. When I went there once, I never would have noticed it if my dad hadn't been pointing it out!
