Not only can your cell phone help you find your way around town, but it can also help you find your way around the kitchen. A recent report tells us that the cellphone — and particularly the iPhone — is quickly becoming the go-to gadget for chefs around the country, for their ability to pull up recipes and keep track of needed ingredients while on-the-go.

But tech in the kitchen doesn't stop with apps like iConvert, which helps you convert weights, lengths, and volumes, or iFood Assistant that brings you over 7,000 recipes, shopping lists and pictures to help you craft your gastronomic masterpiece — but Podcasts are making their way into the kitchen as well. For example, Howcast brings you free weekly how-to instructions ranging from making the perfect mojito to crafting authentic latkes. Plus, you can download podcasts right to your iPhone and chop right along with the instructions. Can it get any easier? I may just take up cooking after all!

OMG that's totally me! I never really cooked a lot, so I still don't know what some of the terms are. Google is my sous chef.
