The insights I gained a few weeks ago from directors Ron Moore and David Eick did not prepare me for this season premiere. Although I had to pick my jaw up from the floor more than a few times on Friday, this is exactly how I wanted Battlestar Galactica to come back from its long break: packed with plenty of "What the frack?!" moments from minute one. Finally, we learn what happened on Earth and to the 13th Tribe, and where the heck that signal from Kara's ship was coming from. Oh, and I almost forgot, we found out who the final Cylon was! Were you surprised? I have to say, I totally had my money on someone else.

See how well you were paying attention amidst all the revelations happening on the Galactica with my recap quiz. Ahh, it's good to be back.

This is my husband's favorite show - a sentiment I don't share. I tried to see how well I'd do based on his ramblings all night after the episode. Not well
1whee! i loved this episode, everything i was hoping for and more
2I didn't do so well on this one. Normally I watch the episodes again (or more than 2 times!) but this one I couldn't. Dee killing herself was too sad for me. I really love this show though and it reminded me why it's the best show on television.
Here's my theory: Kara is the daughter of Saul and Ellen. Tyrol had that flashback and we saw that there were way more than 12 different kinds of cylons, it's totally possible she is a cylon also. It's been said that Cylons can't reproduce but Tigh got Caprica Six pregnant. The final five are the original five that lived on Earth and they reproduced so it's apparent that that is the solution to 'wtfrak is Kara'.
3What a crazy, amazing episode! So many shocking things. I can't wait for Friday!
4I know it was a shot in the dark but I was hoping the last cyclon would be Zak! Needless to say, I'm disappointed about the Ellen revelation.
55/7, I need to pay more attention to details! My excuse is that I was so caught up in all of the episode's awesomeness, my short term memory lost a few of the details. I was expecting at least one question about Dee though, come on! Give the woman some respect
6w00t! Got 100%! I'm new here, but loooove Battlestar Galactica...I was with you, cath...I wanted Zac to be the final model too. I had it realistically narrowed down to either Gaeta or Ellen Tigh and I was really hoping it would be neither one...lol. That being said, I'm glad it's not Kara or Baltar (that would have been worse).
I'm wondering what the frak Kara is. I read a good theory somewhere...can't remember where off the top of my head...if you've seen the original BSG, you'll remember that Apollo and Starbuck are taken by beings of light and returned to the fleet. Granted, this would be a different spin on things, but what if the Kara we now know is one of these beings? Or one of the Kobol god(desse)s incarnite? Just throwing around theories...
