I've been dying to get a cat but my apartment has a strict antifeline rule in my lease. Enter Sega Toys, who have created this lovely robotic cat, complete with touch sensors and real-kitty movements.

The kitty cat, whose name is "Yume-Neko Venus," which translates to "Dream Cat Venus", is kind of a dream. There's no litter to clean up, no hairballs, no stinky cat food, just a furry purring buddy.
True: There is also no heartbeat, but these guys probably have the same energy level as the real thing.

I wonder how this one stacks up against pleo - fuzzy is a plus - but is it smart like pleo? or just a moving version of teddy ruxpein?
1Much the way a Lonely Woman pillow would remind me of my manlessness, a RoboKitty would remind me of my catlessness. Do not want.
2kinda creepy
3Strange. Get a real cat, I promise it will be more interesting.
4The only thing that appeals to me about this is: no more cat scratches!
But hey - if anyone wants a cat, I've got an evil, er, lovely cat, Harry Potter. Just 3 years old. Fluffy. Likes to be by himself. Loves to scratch and attack. Some may say that's playfulness.
5creeps-ville! seriously, the Japanese have so many crazy life replications. like the super life-like dolls that have become more popular here over the years
