There has been a whole lot of talk about the next wave of colorful Zune players and it seems the wait is nearly over. The new limited edition red Zune joins an existing line of brown, black, white and pink Zunes.
Zune allows users to wirelessly share songs, playlists, and photos. The 30 GB device stores up to 7,500 songs, 25,000 pictures, or 100 hours of video. It also features wireless Zune to Zune sharing, a 3-inch screen and a FM radio, which isn't always the case with MP3 players. It comes with some preloaded content, but the rest has to be purchased from the Zune marketplace.
The new red player will be available exclusively at Target and Amazon.com for thirty days beginning June 10th. After that promotional period you will be able to pick them up at any major retailer. It will cost around $220.

Is the Zune so much better than an Ipod? I have a 30g video and I adore it, but so many people are ipod haters. Why is that? Also, it'd be cool to see you post/review some maintenance products for fixing/protecting screens.
1the zune is such a joke.
2Pretty much sums it up.
3I thought they'd have stopped making Zunes by now...
Silly Microsoft.
4zune is sooooo pretty. it iLust
5does the Zune happen to sync with iTunes? I have a whole ton of music that was bought and is registered to iTunes. I would cry if I lost it all, but I reeeeally want a zune.

6This sounds like a pretty good option for me! I don't understand whats with the zune bashing though? Is it just personal preference?
7not touching the zune due to its reliance on the microsoft player - which the latest version i am convinced might as well be spyware. i've been using the 30GB creative zen with my own music and napster and i am loving it. creative makes the best soundcards out there, so once you hook yourself up with quality earbuds you are truly rocking out. also i gave my little brother and sister the sansa and they use it with my napster account and that's been great for them. video and music aon both the zen and the sansas... excellant. i wouldn't touch an ipod with a 50 foot pole.
8My favorite thing is that you can download songs from anywhere to add them to your Zune, just like with iPods.
Infact, I downloaded a few songs from Itunes to my zune today.
[even though the marketplace doesnt have as many songs, ripping is easier, and the songs at the marketplace are cheaper @ 79 cents each]
