I continue to be astonished (and admittedly, a little impressed) when I hear of the insane amount of text messages that some people send.
There's Paige Horn, who sends 15,000 a month, and now another teen, Reina Hardesty, who sends about the same amount. It sounds crazier when you break it down — that's about 484 per day! I know some people who don't even say 484 words a day.
I have to wonder if banning texting while driving or even walking would reduce the number for some, who depend on it for the majority of their daily communication.
As for me, depending on the day, I send anywhere between one to five texts daily.

I used to text quite a bit more, but these days it seems I rarely even touch my phone.
1Zero. I used to text pretty frequently, but that sorta fell apart.
2the last time i checked i was 10 days into my billing cycle and my text message count was at 5500.. thank god for unlimited text messaging lol

4Since I've joined Twitter and started receiving text updates from my closest friends, my texting has probably gone through the roof, LOL. Let me check...actually, 1135 texts in three weeks isn't bad at all. I'm disappointed in myself!

1740+ depending on the day. I text a lot. I hardly even talk on my phone anymore. But I do not text while driving.. Very dangerous indeed.
18I text a lot. I have to have unlimited texting on my Blackberry or I go over! Now I rarely actually talk on the phone. My minutes roll over every month. There are days when I probably send 100 messages, but the average day is over 40.
19i always tell people to just call me. i get irritated when people text me. i hate when people text things like "hey what's up?" the few times i dont mind texting is for times when talking is not possible.. say, in class, or a meeting, etc or for information i probably wont remember .. like directions or phone numbers or something.

23Wow. I text, at a maximum, of 20 times per day. That includes texting friends, twitter updates and any other services that require text check-ins, etc.
24I only text when I need to, when I actually have something to say and not just "hey, what's up". That said, I think I text more than I call people .... I kind of hate calling people other than my closest friends. I heard Keira Knightley once say that she doesn't like that people can always reach her on her mobile/cell and I have to agree.
