1I find it easier to just send my family the link for the set on Flickr - since I usually upload them there anyway!
2Picasa for the mac covers everything I missed about quick photo editing.
3I checked this out for my clients and it isn't exactly free. It's shareware so they really want you to pay the $14.95. If you are looking for cheap light editing like this Yellowmug.com has a pretty good suite of software. This is what my clients currently use when they have needs like cropping and resizing. They do nice bundles too where you can get like 8 applications for $50.
4Yes wickedcupofjoe, if you have Picasa on your Mac, that's another easy way to resize as well!
