I separate the geek jewelry I like into two categories: Stuff I just want to look at, and stuff I would actually wear. I'm having trouble placing this Robot Charm Necklace ($15) into one of those categories.
The size of the charm makes him seem too juvenile for wear, but the modern shade of blue enamel and the black crystal heart make it seem not so far from something I'd buy for myself. It almost hits that side of kitsch that looks daring, instead of silly.
What do you think?

A bad knock-off of Karen Walker? Miles cheaper, even when you convert NZD to USD.
1I think it's meaningful and daring rather than silly...but I think men would take it as a crass joke.
2I think it would work well re-purposed on a key chain or zipper or something. It's fun and I love the color.
3Love! Cute and not ridiculously priced. But I agree it would be challenging to pull it off. Plain everything maybe?
4Once again something I love but couldn't pull off as I'm over 30. Well, not without being labelled as eccentric
5I love this. I would wear this since well... I'm in high school and I have a very odd but stylish style and this fits under the category... But I must agree with booe that this would make a good re-purposed peice as a keychain, car keys come to mind looking at it.
6I think it's cute. Love the color. Not sure if I can pull it off though. I have a similar robot necklace but it's a tiny gold one and I love it.
7Doesn't anyone think that this is a secretive way that big corporations get free opinions of the public of what to place in stores or not? An opinion that they will later use to brainwash others into thinking what they need to feel worthy and an opinion that they will make tons of money off of.
8whoa.
9Well, it's just too anatomically correct.
10I wouldn't wear it as a necklace, but I would use it as a key chain.
11it's so tacky. yuck.
12I wouldn't wear it. I prefer to wear less jewellery, but have it decent. You know? this looks cheaply made IMO
13Not for me...
14Something about the enamel throws me off. I wouldn't mind a robot necklace, but metal instead of enamel?
