It's still very cold outside, and scarves and gloves are de rigeur for my wardrobe. Would I use this knitted Princess Peach Scarf to stave off the cold? I'm not sure it would go with my every outfit, but I can't hate any piece of apparel that features my OG video game goddess.
The $155 price tag, on the other hand, turns me away — although it is a handmade Etsy item, so you're paying for quality and love.
What do you think? Would you rock this video game vixen's face on a scarf?

i thinks its.. funny but i would never were it
1i think it would look fab w/the right person and personality. haha, I think i want one!
2I think it's fun, but I'd never wear it. And it's a little outside my price range for a scarf.
3i think it would be great to wear to quakecon...haha. but never just cause.
4i think its inventive but not for me and not at that price
5Overpriced. I am a fab gamer chic and love things like that for quirky outings, but I would not pay that much for that scarf.
6So I'm such a knitting nerd that i clicked on the link and thought it would be a pattern for the scarf. I was seriously disappointed when i realized the scarf was only for sale. I would never pay $155 for that but I would make it.
7I like it, but too much $.
8as much as i love princess peach and super mario, i think this scarf is awful... and expensive too
9I don't like it and if you move the decimal point over two places (to the left) it would be more appropriately priced.
10Being a knitter, I appreciate what goes into a piece like this. The hours and hours of work and cost of the materials are worth the asking price, but I still can't afford it.
That's the trouble with selling hand knits. In order to sell a piece at all, you can't charge anything for the time it takes to make it. You are basically your own slave labor.
11it's too big!
12this is one of those things that i think i can just do without. i don't know if i'd ever think about creating something like that on my own, but i'm sure there are folks out there who are really into that sort of thing
13Am I the only one who was anal enough to notice it's crocheted, not knitted? Just me? Okay.
I think it's still a little overpriced, even for something handmade. A scarf doesn't take a whole lot of yarn, and crocheting usually takes less time than knitting. Even using a good quality wool yarn, and taking into account time and profit, I still don't think this should cost more than $100.
14OH~!!
15LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.
And what with my budding collection of bizarre scarfs,
I may actually get it.
But there's another before this one,
a cupcake scarf.
Hey, there's a 1-up mushroom scarf too~!
16i'd wear it on a teeshirt but the scarf looks squashed.
17Yeah, I also noticed it's crocheted and not knitted
I knit a lot myself and know how much time and effort goes into each hand-made knitting project... but even taking that into account, $155 is slightly overpriced.
Also, Peach looks a bit unshaped to me. Definitely not the best Mario-themed scarf I've seen on Etsy.
Liz4aker: there are a bunch of geeky patterns on Ravelry
18cute but quite pricey though it's understandable why the price would be 155usd. in addition to the price of yarn, it takes effort to design the scarf and change the yarn while making it.
19and btw, this is crocheted, not knitted. (i crochet and spot it the moment i saw the pic x_x)
Genius!
