Learning to be a better photographer when you're out of school, you usually just have to pick things up as you go along. Having someone guide you and learning by experimentation is awesome, but sometimes you can have an aha moment when you hear someone explain something from the ground up. 2Aperture is the most annoying software in the whole entire world. I have a macbook pro, and that stupid program takes so many resources from the CPU that it becomes slow as a snail and I usually have to reboot after using it. Without mentioning the 3 times my database was corrupted, and I lost tens of thousands of photos. One of those was in the middle of a job - thank God I'd learned my lesson and kept backups of the original pictures, I only had to redo the edits!
