I've spent many long flights wishing that the screen on my iPod were as big as my TV's. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather watch my own movies on a tiny screen than whatever is playing in the cabin that day, but let's be honest — iPod screens are pretty darn small.

So when I saw these Vizuex iWear Glasses ($250) that allow you to watch movies and play games from your iPod and gaming console in 16:9 aspect ratio (it's like watching a 52-inch display from nine feet away) just by connecting the cable to your chosen device and slapping on the glasses, I got a little excited. Does this mean the eye straining days of watching movies on my iPod are over?

This would be amazing for flying and long car trips! Too bad they are $250, definitely not something I can justify splurging on... Maybe if they get cheaper...
1I am a movie fiend. These would come in handy a lot.
2It's very cyberpunk. I love it.
3Not only would I not be caught dead wearing them, I'd openly laugh at anyone I saw with them on.
4its like the ones they were wearing on STARTREK!
5" are u out of your vulcan mind"?????
love it!
While they aren't cute, they are definitely cool and I'd buy them - too bad their so pricey :-/
6Tough one! They would be ideal for long trips, in your own car, with extra-dark windows, but it would be pretty embarassing to ride a bus or a plane looking like Cyclops.
7gorgonitsa, you just quoted one of my FAVORITE "In Living Color" skits...LOVE IT!!
and, id buy these in a minute (if I had an Iphone...)
8If the price goes down then definitely.
9Hey that seems pretty nice to have around. Especially if you fly alot and can't stand what movie is playing. It's a quick fix for an hour or two.
