Although the site name may be hard to decipher (gi-gO-it), it's not hard to understand its purpose: you don't have to throw the stuff you don't want in the landfill, just give it away instead! Gigoit is a hub for green-minded folks to hold virtual garage sales — except here, everything is free.
Find all kinds of items on Gigoit within your search area that are not only usable, but that will reward your conscience as well. Yes, yes, you could use Craigslist's Free section to find what you want online, too, but why not try a site that's committed to keeping the earth clean by recycling your usable items, and donating to green earth causes? Sounds like a deal to me.

hmm, interesting.
1interesting name!
2the name is really odd to me... gigo... does "garbage out" sound appealing for something to take to your house?
3You could also join a freecycle group in your area. http://www.freecycle.org/
4Sounds the same as Freecycle. I suppose if you can't find someone to take something on one, you could try the other! I'm more concerned with getting rid of stuff rather than bringing more in at this point. Decluttering is so hard when you know someone could use the items and you don't want to add to the landfill.

6Just like Freecycle, but with a better format. The group in my area is REALLY active and using it can be very overwhelming. This is much easier than sorting through a ton of emails.
