Drink responsibly. Flirt responsibly. The term "beer goggles" can mean nothing to you, if you take care in making a digital memory of the person you met last night — the person you thought was amazing at the time, but then got home and realized that you couldn't really remember his face.
Even if you're not drinking, your short-term memory could still be clouded by a heady initial meeting. Snap a shot for evidence that you weren't making things up. And there's no need to be awkward about it — ask them to pose for a picture with you, so you're not creepily just circling your iPhone near his face pretending to be checking a text message.

Haha, not that I'm in the dating world but I do the "creepily just circling your iPhone near their face pretending to be checking a text messages" thing when I want to capture something funny to Loopt.
1That tip is good until you lose your phone because you're too drunk to remember where you put it..
And I'm as creepy as you Macgirl, I take pics of people like that too hah
2Isn't it kinda of embarassing though? Asking a guy you just met to take pictures with you? It's easier to just get home and do some network searching.
3Taking the picture with the random stranger seems like half the fun. However, when there is something too odd out there in the world I do take the random "snap-by" to document and send to someone else to see.
4Hahaha - my roommates and I did this all through undergrad! We'd have one friend pose sort of in front and to the side of the flirting/dancing/kissing/etc.
, so we were getting the posing friend, but most of the frame was the dude we'd have to tease
her about in the morning.

I've had random guys do this to me on the metro. It's hella creepy and hella funny.
