With the successful Wii Fit just celebrating its first birthday, Nintendo is ready to debut a new fitness game to the world by February of next year. Walk With Me! for DS portable gaming devices makes walking fun by allowing players to gain points for each step they take.
How it works is that the game comes with two small pedometers that are intended for family members to carry around in their pocket or bag every day. At the end of the week, all you have to do is point your pedometer at your DS and it will tell you how many points you've accumulated. You can also play against people in other countries with the social activity platform. Just another way Nintendo is helping people get fit while having fun.

I think this is a great idea for hefty families that are not already active. I wonder if this would have a greater appeal if points could be used to buy stuff in Animal Crossing... something more applied, even if it is virtual.
1haha that is so weird! It sounds fun though to compete with people all over world.
2OH SNAP I would get such a high score! Driving age is 18 where I live and I'm not getting a driver's license til next February so I pretty much just walk everywhere! (Then again it's the only exercise I get lol)
3i love this, i was reading about it last week. very cool. ^__^ it's also great that it comes with two pedometers so a friend or family member can play along!
4This sounds awesome, especially for those that don't have a wii or can't find a wii fit.
5Ohhh, my mom would so beat me playing this game. I would have to start walking much more.
6Aw, Nintendo! You're so thoughtful. ;]
7interesting...possibly motivating?
8Cool!
9NEXT February!!! That sucks! By then there will be something else out. . .pick up the speed (no pun intended) DS!
