Although there are other ways to secure your passwords and data that live on your computer — like say a password manager or even (yikes) a notebook — I can't think of a cooler or more futuristic way to protect all your personal info than with your fingerprint.
This Eikon To Go digital privacy manager for your Mac or PC, keeps all your stuff under wraps from prying eyes by locking your laptop, and will only unlock when you put your unique fingerprint on the reader.
But if you aren't the computing on-the-go type, you can also pick up Eikon's desktop fingerprint scanner to lock away all your files at home as well. The best part? The mobile manager is only $50 dollars. It's the perfect gift for the business traveler that really needs some protection — of the digital kind, of course.

My Dell came with a scanner built in
1The IRONKEY is oh so much cooler. It is a secured storage device, so you can not only protect all your data but you can actually launch applications like firefox off it so if you are using someone else's computer you dont leave any "footprint" of your activity. No need to ever leave anything remotely sensitive on your laptop again.
2cool.
My doctors have a fingerprint scanner to get into their computers.
3This is pretty neat.
4Really cool stuff. I can't help but think of the movie Demolition Man where there is a retinal scanner dealing with the cryo-prisoners. So Wesley Snipes' character scoops out some guys eyeball and puts it on a pen or pencil to get by the scanner. Not that I think anyone would cut off my finger to get in my laptop, but I always think of that scene when I think of bioscanners.
5Super cool!! &Extra futuristic. To bad I don't have any, "incriminating" things to hide.. lol
