It came as no surprise that the iPhone 3G takes the top spot as your favorite cell phone of 2008 (with 51 percent of the vote!), given that it was also your favorite new Apple product this year as well. And let's be honest — it's a known fact that I am a iPhone fan, so I'd have to agree with you that the iPhone 3G is the clear favorite in 2008.
You can't really go wrong with the iPhone's speedy 3G connectivity, and endless amounts of Apps that help make your life easier, more fun, and get you to where you need to go faster. I know that if I didn't have my iPhone, it would be like missing a limb, and then where would we be?!

In my line of work I am constantly hooking up peoples smart phones to either sync with their computers or at minimum have their work email on it. There is nothing easier to configure than the iphone, even when their work computer isn't the computer they sync with. I love mine, but I've drank the Koolaid so I don't always think I'm the norm.
1I love the iPhone and I want one SO badly... I just can't bring myself to switch to AT&T! I hope so badly that the rumors are true, and the iPhone will be coming to Verizon in 2009. It's pretty much the only reason I'm not considering buying a new cellphone for another few months. *crosses fingers*
2overrated!
3I second bethinabox, except I want it for T-Mobile (it'll work b/c both AT&T and T-Mobile are on GSM networks, anyway)!
AT&T is the only thing stopping me from switching. [oh, and the $600 bill I'll get for breaking my current contract!]
4The most impractical mobile I have ever touched. I've seen new better quality and easier to use mobiles.
5The iPhone has become my lifeline. I haven't owned a smartphone that's so user-friendly and reliable.
6Same here, margokhal. I have T-Mobile and can't/don't want to switch to AT&T. I would consider getting it if it was available for T-Mobile.
7GO NOKIA E 71 !
8Thank you allinavhcnerf its SO overrated
9and you get bored from it easily Plus how can you live without buttons!!!!
I also didn't get the iPhone b/c of AT&T (least amount of dropped calls my a**), but I still got the iTouch to feed my tech addiction! I am totally content to keep my Blackberry Curve for a phone and have the iTouch on the side.
