Michael Phelps is everywhere but at the pool these days! Among other many recent endorsements, Olympic phenomenon Michael Phelps will be teaming up with 505 Games to develop a video game based on his swimming career.
The game is still in its development stages so I don't want to be too quick to judge, but if you happen to have played Beijing 2008, then you may recall that the swimming meets were kinda . . . boring. You know I love Michael as much as the next geeky gal, but will his game rise above its paddling predecessors and be awesome, or sink to the bottom and be totally lame? Only time will tell. What's your first reaction?

Maybe if they make it like Echo. That would be cool.
1This guy has gone from cool dude who won 14 gold and should only pop up every now and then, to some donkey who is everywhere and on every show promoting his freaking book.
Here's a clue for Phelps...IT'S WINTER!!!! Put some skis on and hit up the slopes and hibernate!
Swimming game?!? For shame!
2Hmmm... If it was on the Wii you might actually have to do different strokes with your hands. BTW could they please make a new Echo the dolphin game? I like the old one, but just imagine what they could do with better graphics!
3Maybe it will be like a straight line Mario Kart? Maybe we have to navigate around his mom popping up to cheer him on in the pool? Aw, that's mean... I like his mom. Perhaps they can do a shopping game based on her?
4I don't have anything against swimming. I'm just not sure how it could translate into a fun video game. Go fast. Go straight.
5Sounds like one of the worst game ideas. Also, people need to get over Michael Phelps.
6I'm going to wait and see on this one. It sounds like it could be lame, but I love Phelps too much to say that it's going to be lame.
7Hmmmm, it actually doesn't sound that bad. I mean, he made history, you gotta celebrate it somehow.
8Does he strip off at ANY point in the game? If not then I DO NOT CARE.
9Yeah...he should have come out with this game at the end of the summer when the public sentiment was still in his favor. Unfortunately his behavior since then hasn't helped.
10i'm kind of tired of all things phelps - and i think that there's been too much time between the games and now for them to get the response that they were hoping for with the game. oh well...i'm sure there's a market for it somewhere.
