The shinyshiny article about google is so painfully true. my good friend lost out on a great job because of the content on her myspace page. She was 20 and there were lots of pictures of her drinking on the page.
1I Google myself everytime I send out a new resume (I also check my Facebook and Myspace to make sure that I didn't absent-mindedly post something that is potentially hazardous). This reminds me of the recent story of a girl who was denied her teaching certificate because of a picture of her drinking. Unfair, yes, but easily preventable by using some common sense. My theory is that I don't post anything that I wouldn't want my mother to see.
