For those of you who prefer products that don't begin with an "A" and end in "pple," then 2009 may be a good year to switch phones. Rumor has it that Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer will be announcing a Zune-like phone at CES.
Said to be coming with the Zune's sleek style, it will also be pulling features from other popular phones, like a fold out keyboard (a la the G1), as well as some iPhone style goodies like an accelerometer. The potential price for the "Zunephone" has yet to be leaked, but I'm guessing that detail will be a minor one for some Microsoft fans come January.

Based on the looks of it's interface, i already don't like it.
Although saying that, I may be a tiny bit biased towards the iPhone

5Microsoft is going down the cr*pper. Nothing is going to save them because by the time they create/sell a new system to makeup for the Vista fiasco, Apple will already be even farther ahead in their computer generations. So Microsoft can attempt to sell a Zune phone (the design is oh-so original) however the product will not go anywhere. Same goes for Verizon, Sprint, Nokia and other companies trying to recreate Apple's iPhone (which was genius in having so many patents.) Microsoft ripped-off Apple before (who created computer icons first) however it cannot happen again.

7I don't like the interface either. You know I've never actually known anyone who owns/owned a Zune.

8I own a Zune. Granted, it was a gift and I had wanted an ipod. But now I actually love it, especially when I compare it to the my friends and family's ipods (not the touch one though, I'm still jealous of that). I don't know about a Zune phone though...
9I personally will not use any crap from Apple, this what is needed.
