What a difference a year makes, especially if you are The Google. The monolith says that in 2008 alone, Street View's coverage has more than doubled in the US!
Even my dad's super rural home is now on Street View, to my total shock. I know I've asked you guys before if you had seen your homes on Street View, but many people mentioned that their houses weren't even on yet. Considering yesterday's mass addition to its coverage, I want to know: Is your place on Street View?

The entrance to the courtyard is. Kind of neat. But the photo was taken on a very rainy and dreary day and kind of makes everything look really sad.
1Ha! I just checked and my parent's house is on it too. I would have never imagined they'd go there...
2You can only see the street is in, not the actual house. But my sister's house comes out perfectly.
3Google can't even find my address! My entire neighborhood, which has been there for a few years, is completely missing on Google maps.
4! I just checked it. Figured it wouldnt be but it is!
5Yup, I've been able to see my home for a long time now.
6My street is not even on Google Maps.
7It is adorable. You can see our neighbor walking down a driveway wondering what the heck the vehicle is in front of her.
8Yes, it is and it's kinda creepy. I didn't even know about it until I checked zillow and there it was...complete with my car in front of it.
9My apartment complex is but my parent's house is not. I'd expect it to be on there, they live in a major suburban area.
10I can see our nearest major street, but not our actual house.
11Mine's on there! Although, when you type in our address, what it actually shows you is our neighbors' house. Close enough, though.
12My house is on google maps. My mom's car and my old car are sitting infront of the garage. Pretty cool.
13It's there, but they have it labeled wrong. If you type in my address, a different street on my block comes up.
14Does anyone else think how creepy is this? How unsafe it is just to have a picture of where you live available just a click away?
15I'm so surprised that my house is on there!
16Yuup! My apartment complex is. How interesting (&slightly freaky) is that?! lol
17Nope. Mine's not on there (nearest is a couple of streets away) and neither is my parents which is in a small town in MN. Safe for now but I'll be checking back!
I did just use it to play a prank on my friend in Oregon, though... told her how beautiful the view is from her house that I've never been to and asked her if her neighbors always leave their garbage cans out on the driveway. I've never been there but she thought I was in town for a surprise visit!
18You can see the entrance to our driveway, but our house is set back too far from the street to see it.
19Mine has been on for awhile now. My now deceased neighbor's old car is parked on the street.
20i can see the street that is wicked close to my house, but they have not done my actual house
21My house is on Gmaps -- and it's kinda creepy to be honest with you.
22Not only does my aparment show up but so does my car parked outside the building. It is funny because in the spring our screen door broke and sat on our patio for a few days and you can see it in the picture.
23yup I see my building and neighborhood pretty creepy LOL
24Either I'm living in the wrong house or google maps is wrong? haha. They show my house as being the one about 11 houses down from where it actually is. Hmm.. weird.
25My dads house in australia is on streetview, but not our house in the UK. Weird.
26My place is but my parent's house is not. They live on a mountain, so im not sure when google will actually make it up there!
27I think I first noticed my house on Streets a year ago (maybe more?). I actually just showed my dad a few weeks ago and he got a pretty big kick out of it. Now how exactly do they get the pictures of all these homes?
28I think it is, i haven't checked as of late.
29I never was and now I am!
30You can't see my place but you can see my boyfriend's.
31Our old place is on street view - it's a little off to the side from the actual house and it's up a hill so it's not a GREAT view, but its there.
Our new place doesn't have street view, but that kind of makes sense because I imagine it
would be a little annoying to get all of the little apartments in the area.
32My apartment building is on it, yup.
33My house is on it... It has been for a while. I remember my dad calling me and saying "I can see your house". I thought he had flown to Vegas for a surprise visit until he said he was checking it out on Google's streetview
34I'm a bit surprised but there is no street view for Toronto yet.
35My house is in a central neighborhood in San Francisco, so I think it must've been one of the very first to be on Street View
JMichelle, the way Google gets all these images is with a special camera that takes a super fast series of photos. This camera is mounted on top of a van, which drives up and down every street to capture the 'street view.'
36I hope not. That feels like a huge invasion of privacy.
37lol yup...in fact when they were making it I guess we were moving in because you see the moving van, furniture and my mom and dad standing outside.
38You can't see my actual house but it is close enough.
Sometimes I feel like this feature is a stalker's dream.
39Yes my house is there. I've moved around a lot so my old house in Chicago was there, the Atlanta one you could kind of see, and the Hawaii house I think wasn't there, but the one here in California shows our house and car lol.
40I know exactly where those two apartment/flat buildings are in SF. A Lil weird seeing them here on sugar!!
41yep you can totally see my new place on street view. my old place to and my families homes in kc!
42Not mine, it looks like it's not available in Hawaii at all.
43I don't really understand why streetview is necessary ... who needs that much help with directions?
44my house is on Google street view. I checked a few months back. I think they did it in the summer because my car was parked in the usual place I park it. I kinda wished I could have seen one of my dogs running around the yard though!
I love Street View. When I'm here in nyc it helps me recognize some of the buildings so I'm not totally lost!
45my apartment building is on street view and the interesting thing is that my unit is on the corner, and you can even see it really clearly if you go down the street
46Mine is, and it's really creepy.
We had the front door open, just the screen door closed, and you can actually see in the front of the house.
Plus, both of our cars are home. You could probably zoom in and read the license plates. Def security problem. There have been complaints.

47This post reminded me to investigate removing the image.
Here's the scoop:
Find your house.
In the lower left of the image (in a light font!) there's a link labeled "Report a concern".
This links to a page where you can check off your concerns.
Under "Privacy Concerns" it says "This is in reference to an image of" and you choose: a face, my house, or my car/a license plate.
(Other options are "Inappropriate content" and "Other".)
There's also a text box for an additional description.
Hope that helps.
48i typed in my address and it shows the streets but has my address further down the street and my actual house is not in either spot
