A lot has happened in the last couple of months for Ms. Britney Spears, but it feels like yesterday when she was in, out, back in, and out, and for the last time back in and finally out of rehab.. sporting her blonde bob wig and toting her BlackBerry 8700. Now she has been spotted with an LG vx9900, which is a clear downgrade from the BlackBerry. Call me a CrackBerry addict or BlackBerry biased, but I can't seem to comprehend what Britney is doing with a phone that was popular circa 2006 cell phone? Did she wear out the keypad on her BlackBerry in rehab? Was getting rid of the CrackBerry part of the 12 step process? What do you think?

That's weird, I wouldn't ditch a Blackberry for that. Now an iPhone on the other hand...
1Her life was complicated and crazy before. Maybe she just needs to get away from some of it for a while.
2i think this is kind of along the lines of questioning whether someone should downsize when it comes to housing.

let people use whatever phone they want. she probably has both.
or someone got her number/contact info and she had to switch.
3If i was a celebrity like Britney and was being hounded by the paps at all times, I would definitely carry a cheaper/older phone. Probably a phone I could have my calls forwarded to. See, I"m a clutz and I know I would drop my phone or loose it with dozens of people harassing me. At least if she looses that phone she's not screwed Paris style.
4I would rather have a Blackberry any day over the LG. The LG looks cheap and plastic.
